Darmstadt is very easily accessible, both by train to Darmstadt main station (Darmstadt Hauptbahnhof) and by air travel. The closest airport is Frankfurt airport. To reach Darmstadt Hauptbahnhof from Frankfurt airport, there are two ways: The first way is via the S-Bahn train network (about 50 minutes). The second way is via the Airliner Bus service (direct buses from Frankfurt airport Terminals 1 and 2 to Darmstadt Main Station in about 30 minutes). Within the city of Darmstadt, a well-organised network of buses and trams offers fast and reliable public transportation. The stations closest to the Technical University of Darmstadt are "Schloss", "Luisenplatz", "Willy-Brandt-Platz" and "Alexanderstraße/TU".
