Thanks to generous support by the SPP 2265, we will be able to cover local expenses
(hotel room) for PhD students and postdocs.
Applications for financial support can be made inside the registration e-mail. If you apply
for financial support, please include a short statement why the school is relevant for you
- valid reasons are e.g. doing a PhD in probability or another field where the topic of the
school is relevant (please give the name of your advisor in this case) or working in a relevant
field as a postdoc (your publication record will then probably show this). If none of the above
applies, please give an explanation anyway, we will then consider this.
In any case, we expect all funded participants to give a 10 minute presentation of their work
or their PhD topic. We can make exceptions to this rule on request, but in general we very
strongly encourage you to give this talk.
We pay for a shared double room in a hotel and expect you to cover your transportation
costs out of your own funds. If you feel that you need a single room, please indicate this;
in this case we will likely ask you to cover the difference in price from your own funds.
Financial support is granted on a first come first serve basis. While funds are
generous this year, they are not infinite, so we advise you to apply early!
