Financial Support

Financial support is granted on essentially a first come first serve basis. If the school
is of similar size as the previous years, we are likely able to fund all those in need,
but if we get significantly more people this year, we may run out of funds for
supporting local costs. So if you wish to attend the school and have no own travel
funding we advise you to apply early.

Applications for financial support can be made with the registration e-mail. If you apply
for financial support, please include a CV and short statement why the school is relevant for
you - valid reasons are e.g. doing a PhD in probability or another field where the topic of the
school is relevant (please give the name of your advisor in this case) or working in a relevant
field as a postdoc (your publication record will then probably show this).

Please also indicate in your application that you have no own funding source.

In any case, we expect all funded participants to give a 10 minute presentation of their work
or their PhD topic. We can make exceptions to this rule on request, but in general we very
strongly encourage you to give this talk.

We pay for a shared double room in a hotel and expect you to cover your transportation
costs out of your own funds. If you feel that you need a single room, please indicate this;
in this case we will likely ask you to cover the difference in price from your own funds.
